Eggshell Art

Victoria Floratos is an independent contemporary artist based in Melbourne who has established a reputation for using eggshells to create cutting edge mesmerising artwork and sculptures.

Floratos’ ability to use the humble eggshell as her medium, creates intricate works of art exploring themes of resilience, transformation and finding the beauty in life’s disruptors. Using this unique texture and symbolic material Victoria reflects on life’s disruptors – “how moments of fracture can lead to renewal and how chaos can be reshaped into something meaningful. Each piece serves as a reminder that even in ‘fragility, there is strength, and even in despair there is the potential for renewal, personal growth and new perspectives”.

Through meticulous craftmanship Floratos reimagines delicate eggshells, creating profound compositions, sculptures and narratives. She invites the viewer to explore the unexpected beauty found in life’s disruptors and challenges them to engage with their own personal life experiences.

“MY WORK BRIDGES THE WORLDS OF FINE ART AND INTERIOR DESIGN — BRINGING TACTILE STORYTELLING INTO GALLERIES, HOMES, HOSPITALITY, AND ARCHITECTURAL SPACES. EACH PIECE BEGINS WHERE A SHELL’S ORIGINAL JOURNEY ENDED”

Eggshells are fragile by design, yet rich with quiet history. What is discarded, I collect. What is broken, I compose. What seems finished, I reshape into something lasting.

Each piece is a meditation on fragility, time, transformation, and the places and stories that live within us. Built by hand, layer by layer, eggshell by eggshell — my art honours the beauty in the broken and the meaning in material we overlook.

This is sustainable art with texture you can feel and emotion you can’t ignore.
